Chuck & Augie’s Restaurant is named in honor of Charles and Augustus Storrs, benefactors of the University of Connecticut. From its humble beginnings in 1881, UConn has grown to be one of the top public research universities in the nation. The Department of Dining Services has kept pace with that growth, offering excellence in service while enhancing the campus experience through quality and value to students, faculty and staff. It is with much honor and respect that we dedicate this restaurant to Charles and Augustus Storrs.
Did You Know? As one of the restaurant’s “green” initiatives, the oil we cook in is recycled into biodiesel and used to fuel the UConn busses. Also, our menu is trans-fat free!

Chuck & Augie's Restaurant to Participate in the 2nd Annual Farm-To-Chef Program
Chuck & Augie's Restaurant will participate in the 2011 Farm-To-Chef Harvest Celebration being held Sunday, September 18th - Saturday, September 24th. Last year this celebration of Connecticut grown food featured over 80 participating restaurants, cafes, dining halls, eateries and more. The special menu for the week begins with an appetizer of Winter Squash Bisque with Chevre and Walnut Pesto. Local ingredients include fresh vegetables from UConn's Spring Valley Farm; Chevre goat cheese from Beltane Farms in Lebanon; fresh cream from Mountain Dairy Farm.
The feature salad is Arugula with Roasted Beets and Danse de la lune. Local ingredients include arugula and beets from UConn's Spring Valley Farm; Danse de la lune from Beltane Farms.
Entrees are: Pork Belly BBQ Sliders and Chicken Roulade. Local ingredients in the BBQ Sliders include pork from Green Valley Farm in Ashford; Granny Smith apples from Buell's Orchard in Eastford. Local ingredients in the Chicken Roulade include Heritage breed chicken raised in the "Quiet Corner" of Connecticut; seasonal vegetables from UConn's Spring Valley Farm.
Dessert is Apple Shortcake made with Granny Smith apples from Buell's Orchard in Eastford, topped with vanilla ice cream from the UConn Dairy Bar.
A Sheer Chardonnay Wine is also available from Stonington Vineyard in Stonington.
